Senate Party Leader

A Senator Party Leader serves as the Leader of a group of Senators who serve as a member of one of the two available parties within the game. The Senate Party Leader is regarded as the Chief Spokesperson for that party within The Senate and is responsible for leading those Senators.
Selection Process
The Selection Process for the role of Senate Party Leader begins at either the first session of a term or whenever the office is found vacant. The role is electable by only the Senators that serve as party of that party. To be elected as a Senate Party Leader an individual must be elected by a majority of the Senate Party caucus (group of party senators) as well as being a member of that Senate Caucus. Although there is no mechanism to remove a sitting Leader they must be re-elected at the start of every term.

The Daily Schedule of a Senate Party Leader consists of 4 different events.
Congressional Leadership Conference
The Congressional Leadership Conference is a meeting held between all members of leadership in both houses of congress, including the Speaker of the House and the President Pro Tempore. In this meeting the Congressional agenda will be set as well as solving any issues or setting goals between the two different houses. This takes up one single slot.
Caucus Meeting
The Caucus meeting is a time for the Senate Party Leader and the other Senators of a party caucus to meet. In this meeting they will set the Caucus agenda for the day, deciding what they wish to be doing for the day, usually deciding on what they will be voting on that day. This takes up one single slot.
Senate Session
The Senate Session is a time for the entire Senate to collect and vote on all the proposals that are presented to the Senate. This take up two slots.
Social Hour
The Social Hour is a time for roleplay to take place, this hour is not as important as the others. In this time, it is common to socialise and roleplay with others. In this period events like the State of the Union, as well as party events take place.
Powers & Duties
Spokesperson
The Senate Party Leader acts as the Chief Spokesperson for the Senate Party Caucus. This role means they are the representative in all matters for that caucus, including to other branches of Government. The role also extends into the session to which the Senate Party Leader will speak on issues of the Senate Party Caucus.
