Party Politics Expansion

The Party Politics Expansion, introduced in Oath of Office v4.4 as part of the Campaign Trail Update on 2024-11-29, brought new dimensions to gameplay by focusing on political party dynamics.

This expansion enhanced the strategic depth of the game by introducing Party Chairpersons and party conventions, providing players with more control over their campaign strategy and adding layers of realism to the electoral process. Unfortunately, days 1 and 2 are very dry for these players, with the campaigning only starting on day 3.

New Features

• Party Chairperson: Players can now appoint a Party Chairperson, a key figure who supports your campaign. Chairpersons gain the ability to buy ads on Day 3 or 4, boosting candidate poll numbers. Their role is crucial for mid-campaign adjustments and demographic targeting.

• Party Conventions: The expansion introduced the option to plan and run your party's convention at the start of Day 3. Conventions allow players to get the votes of several on day 4 player elections for D.C. A good convention can result in a significant poll boost.

Gameplay Enhancements

The Party Politics Expansion adds new layers by enabling:

• Greater control over campaign media through targeted ads.
• The ability to counter rivals by attacking polls.
