Once the previous PPT resigns or leaves the game, the next longest serving Senator assumes power. It is also the fourth in line for the Presidency behind the Speaker of the House. The President Pro Tempore (PPT) is the fourth-highest ranking member in the game. The President Pro Tempore is the informal leader of the Senate, and assumes all duties of the Vice President in the Senate if the Vice President is not present. The President Pro Tempore was added in the Advice & Consent (v3.0) update.

Selection Process

The President Pro Tempore role is obtained by being the next longest-serving Senator when the current President Pro Tempore leaves. There is no time limit on the President Pro Tempore, so it can take a long time to take their role.

Daily Schedule

As President Pro Tempore, your day is split up into 4 sessions:

Caucus Meeting

During the Caucus Meeting, you'll be able to discuss with all the Senators about the day ahead of you, including things such as the main issues plaguing the Global Statistics, recommended Legislation choices, status updates on everyone's Legislation, and more. This meeting is typically held in the Russell Senate Office Building.

Leadership Meeting

The Leadership Meeting is held in the Roosevelt Room, and the other people present include the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, White House Chief of Staff, and the Legislative Director. The topic during this meeting is usually about the Legislative Branch in general, and the concerns the President has that he wants you and the Senate to address.

Senate Session

The Senate Session is held on the House Floor and is all about the current Legislation that the Senate needs to vote on. The President Pro Tempore's job is to keep order on the Senate Floor, recommend choices for each Legislation, and hold updates on each Legislation voted on for any spectators in the Senate Gallery to see while the Vice President isn't present. This session lasts two segments of the game, or 6 minutes, and usually consists on 1-4 bills to vote on.

Social Hour

The Social Hour includes everyone in the game and is either a simple talking area, such as the President's Gala, or the State of the Union Address. Not much important occurs here, it's just a roleplay session where you can talk with others and give speeches.
