Strike Options is an expansion pack for Oath of Office, the game about armed forces and military operations. Right now, a new patch has been released that reveals new leadership roles and options to make decisions about the military, further expanding the deep strategic and political gameplay found in both free-to-play and premium versions of the game.

Those who buy the premium expansion will receive a military leadership role set, including the following:

  • Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Advise the President on issues relating to the military and coordinate with the branches of the armed forces.

  • Commander, U.S. Strategic Command

Responsibilities include overseeing strategic deterrence, which includes nuclear operations.

  • Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command

Responsible for overseeing high-priority missions led by special operations forces.

  • Chief of Naval Operations

Provide strategic guidance for the Navy and oversee maritime readiness.

  • Chief of Staff of the Army

Lead the Army's operational and administrative focus.

  • Chief of Staff of the Air Force

Head the Air Force in its strategic and logistical planning.

The update includes new features that are free for all players, adding depth to the in-game politics:

  • More Detailed Military Statistics & Simulation

Metrics more contextual to decisions taken in view of military questions and their outcomes.

  • Nuclear War Conditions

Depending on how certain events pan out, a player may also be witness to a nuclear war and its devastations.

Players will be able to give the green light to military operations-from targeted missions down to the broader, more strategic campaigns.

  • Leadership Positions:** A whole set of key military personnel the player needs to interface with and manage to mold his administration's policies of defense.
  • Strategic Decisions:** Adds depth to military-related decisions by impacting quite seriously on both domestic and international relations.
  • Consequences of Action: Military leadership and operation decisions will be long-lasting in their impact on the political and public perception of the administration.

This supplement extends the political model in Oath of Office with the addition of military leaders and allows players to tackle new issues of national security. It shares the base premise of the game in terms of decisionmaking and political strategy, and it does so in a way that's readily graspable by all players.
