When not directly protecting diplomats and government officials, secret service agents linger the hallways of the White House and Pentagon to ensure the safety of the area.

Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is responsible for ensuring that all government infrastructures, including their software, is non-intercepted and safe from the hands of foreign officials, including adversaries and partners. The director answers to the Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security.

Secretary of Homeland Security

The Secretary of Homeland Security, known as the SECDHS, is responsible for ensuring that all operations within the department are smooth and efficient, while also upholding the agenda of the President. The SECDHS generally has strong influence on the foreign and domestic relationship of the United States, overseeing agreements such as the NERC-CIP which can impact national security.

Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security

The Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, known as the DEPSECDHS, is responsible for assisting the Secretary in their operations, while managing any concerns that may come from the agencies that are a part of the department. When not managing the agencies, they generally ensure that the Secretary is fully informed on the status of the department and consult with them in-regards to any future changes that may be needed for a progression in the department. The Deputy Secretary responds to the Secretary of Homeland Security.

The Director of the United States Secret Service (USSS) is responsible for overseeing the agency and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and that any possible threats to the protectees are investigated. The Director is also responsible for ensuring that the agency operates at the highest standard, as a majority of its operations directly influence the safety of their protectees. The Director responds to the Deputy Secretary of the Homeland Security.
